About the Volunteer Program

The SkillALB Program is an initiative focused on enhancing digital, professional, and entrepreneurial skills among Albanian youth to improve their employability. This project is co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by ENGIM Foundation. Its primary goal is to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth through full and productive employment opportunities for Albanian youth. The program aims to engage approximately 4,800 young people between the ages of 13 and 35 from five schools and two vocational training centers located in five different regions of Albania.


Volunteer Tasks and Responsibilities :

As a volunteer, you will be involved in several key activities:


Supporting the project manager in organizing and coordinating project activities.


Assisting the MEAL Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) with data collection, analysis, and reporting.


Providing administrative and logistical support for events and training sessions.


Contributing to communication efforts such as managing social media, writing newsletters, and preparing reports.


Designing project proposals within the framework of European Union programs.


Participating in team and partner meetings, and preparing meeting minutes and operational summaries.


Volunteer Training

Volunteers will receive training both before and during the assignment:


Pre-departure training on the organization’s core values, safety protocols, and an overview of the program.


On-site training will include monitoring, verification, and project management procedures.


Ongoing access to training resources for continuous learning.


Volunteers will also receive briefings and additional training from various relevant departments during their assignment.

Volunteer Benefits

   Accommodation: Volunteers will be provided with shared housing alongside other expatriates. The apartment is equipped with electricity, hot and cold water (non-potable), internet, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washing machine.


   Living Allowance: A monthly stipend of €800 will be provided to cover basic living expenses such as food and local transportation.


   Flexible Work Hours: Volunteers may have flexible working hours, with a mix of on-site and remote work, depending on the volunteer’s independence and the schedule of activities.


Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates should meet the following requirements:


   Educational Background: A degree in Political Science, Sociology, Statistics, Community Development, Law, or Human Rights. Additional training in project management, development cooperation, or logistics is preferred.


    Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work in complex and diverse environments.


    Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks independently, prioritize effectively, and solve problems.


    Language and Technical Skills: Proficiency in English (B2 level) is required. Knowledge of basic Google programs (Docs, Sheets) is also necessary.
