About the Internship Program :

The WHO Internship Programme offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain direct insight into the technical and administrative programs of the World Health Organization.


It is part of WHO’s mission to nurture a new generation of global health leaders from diverse backgrounds.

Eligibility for Applicants :


Nationality: Open to candidates from most Arab and international countries.

Candidates are required to be no younger than 20 years old at the time of application.

Academic Status: Must be enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program in:


  • Public Health
  • Medicine
  • Social Sciences
  • Communications
  • Administration
  • International Relations or a related field


Proficiency in one of the six official working languages of the WHO is essential (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian); IELTS scores are not required.



Additional Conditions:


  1. Must have completed at least 3 years of university studies.
  2. Those who have graduated must apply within 6 months of degree completion.
  3. Applicants must not be closely related to a WHO staff member.
  4. Previous WHO interns are not eligible.
  5. Valid passport from a WHO member country is required.

1 .  Who can apply for the WHO Internship?
