Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Hungarian Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Excellence: Applicants should have a strong academic record.
- Bachelor’s: High school diploma obtained no more than two years prior to application.
- Master’s: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Ph.D.: Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Language Proficiency
- For programs taught in Hungarian, the scholarship provides a preparatory year, or applicants must demonstrate a B2 proficiency level.
- For English-taught programs, a B2 English proficiency level is required, though exemptions may apply for students who previously studied in English. Some technical or medical programs may require TOEFL or IELTS scores.
- Biology, Chemistry, General English, and Medical English programs may require an online admission test.
- Nomination by Sending Countries: Applicants must be nominated by the responsible authorities in their home countries.
