Financial Benefits
  • 36-Month Employment Contract: Fellows are offered a long-term contract of up to 36 months, providing both financial and professional stability.
  • Monthly Stipend: Fellows receive a competitive monthly stipend ranging from CHF 6,194 to CHF 6,808 (net after tax), ensuring financial comfort during their fellowship.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Minimum of Two Years Career Break: Applicants must have taken a career break of at least two years for personal reasons, such as family responsibilities, health issues, or caregiving duties.
  • Relevant Academic Background: Applicants should hold a degree in science or engineering with appropriate professional experience.
  • Research Fellowship: Those applying for a fellowship in experimental or theoretical physics must hold a PhD, with no more than six years of post-doctoral experience.
  • CERN User Status: Applicants registered as CERN users may need to explain how their status aligns with the program’s requirements.
  • Not Available to Current CERN Employees: Current CERN employees are not eligible to apply for this program.
